Our Computer Services

The Alabama Computer Service dispatch map covers most of the northern and central parts of the state, with remote sessions and scheduled on-site handled from a single queue. The service categories below are what the dispatch board fills with week after week.

Service Categories

Virus and malware removal
Infected Windows systems cleaned thoroughly — adware, hijackers, ransomware, and the cottage industry of fake “support” popups — plus an account audit on anything sensitive the machine touched.
Slow computer repair and speed optimization
Performance diagnostics that identify the real cause (drive, thermals, Windows state, or memory pressure) and a quote for the actual fix, not a blanket tune-up product.
Network troubleshooting and connectivity issues
Home and office networks diagnosed end to end: router, access points, wiring, ISP handoff, and the client devices behind it all.
Hard drive replacement and upgrades
Failed drives pulled and replaced, old drives cloned where salvageable, fresh installs documented where not. SSD upgrades on older machines as a routine speed recovery.
Data recovery from damaged or failing drives
Logical recovery from formatted or corrupted drives. Drives with mechanical symptoms imaged first before any further write activity. Clean-room referrals when warranted.
Business IT support and maintenance
Small-business workstation support, patch cycles, shared peripheral troubleshooting, and monthly retainers for offices that want one number to call.
Laptop display repair (select models — availability depends on panel supply)
We handle laptop screen work on a curated list of models we can source panels for quickly. Call with the make, model, and year before dropping the machine off so we can confirm the part is in stock or orderable without a multi-week wait.

Peripheral and Device Setup

Miscellaneous device setup — a new printer, a tablet being onboarded, a smart-home accessory joining a network — is folded into bigger performance or connectivity jobs. When it belongs naturally to a visit we are already making, it is part of the work. As a separate scheduled call, it is better handled by a retail setup service.

Service Area

On-site coverage across most of north and central Alabama: Huntsville, Decatur, Birmingham, Arab, Guntersville, Cullman, Gadsden, and Tuscaloosa, plus remote support statewide. Dispatch plans the routing based on the day’s schedule — most addresses close in one trip.
